SWIMTAG Book II 50-53

Sounds: Note the alliteration: curvam cambagibus...contorsit perhaps emphsizing the size of the belly by joining the sounds of the words describing with ths literary tool.

Imagery: curvam campagibus alvum-the belly curved with seems provides a vivid image for the how the horse must have looked.

Theme: How the Trojans should have seen the horse for what it was but because of events beyond their control their fate was sealed.

Allusions: using feri to stand in for the horse (Metonymy) using the word feri or wild beast to represent the horse illustrates the danger of the horse to the civilization of Troy.
